Community Activities

 

Students will be expected to participate in Community Activities and Evangelism. Every student will be required to make at least one attempt to share the Gospel each week. They will turn in a brief report of who they shared with, what was said, and the results to their Shepherd.

Also, students will have the opportunity to participate in a Friday Blitz. Every student will be required to participate in at least two Friday Blitz events each academic year. If their schedule does not permit participation, an alternative will be arranged with the student's Shepherd.

Every student will be involved in some aspect of ministry throughout their degree program. The specific involvement required will be based on the student's major. Extensive partnerships with local churches and associations will afford hands-on experience in church planting, pastoral ministries, education, music and writing.

To register for Ministry Practicum Hours, students must receive signed approval by the student's Shepherd Group Leader/Advisor on the Add/Drop Form found at the Registrar, then it must be submitted in accord with registration guidelines.
