Accreditation

 

NEBC is currently in pursuit of the necessary recognition from the Department of Education to be a degree-granting institution in the state of Vermont and, after completing this crucial process of self-evaluation, we expect to receive approval by school launch on August 2012.

In addition, we intend to establish our school systems in accord with the Standards of New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) in order to receive and maintain qualification for regional accreditation.

"Accreditation is voluntary. It represents an institution's willingness to abide by the Standards and to open itself regularly to examination by outside evaluators familiar with higher education. As such, accreditation is recognized as a symbol of accountability to the public." (NEASC, FAQs)
